A tough part of being ill and away from home (#Mali and #Senegal, #Africa) is that I don’t get to enjoy home food and other delicacies the way I would at home.
Thankfully, here in Boston, we have a great African food restaurant next door. At Safari African Food, Madame Rokhaya and her husband serve fresh dishes that we enjoy just like we would at home. These moments help make my ‘Medical Exil‘ bearable. Food obviously goes beyond my body. The food from this restaurant helps me remain grounded, connected - soul, mind, and body. I am thankful for their 'good home food'!
Now, what would yours be?
